The Valley of the Nerds Guildhall Project

A home for the
stories we’ll
tell together.

Our community is growing! Now we’re looking for the right space, and the right people, to help us make that welcome a little more permanent.

Rooted in Grand Junction & the Grand Valley

Look at what’s already taking shape

A growing community deserves a place to gather.

At our pop-up tables and community adventures, people are showing up to play, create, and get to know one another. Through storytelling, tabletop games, and cosplay, we’re making room for people to share what they love and discover something new together.

These photos are more than a glimpse of an event; they show the community we want to keep making room for.

A community with room for all kinds of imagination. Our gatherings bring people together through the things they love.
A shared table becomes a shared adventure.Dice, stories, and a reason to get to know the people beside you.

The heart of the project

A place at the table shouldn’t come with a price tag.

Our goal is a guildhall where members can join regular community gatherings without membership dues or a fee to attend. We want people to walk through the door because they’re curious, creative, or looking for connection, without the cost of belonging becoming another barrier.

A space still costs money to run, which is why we’re looking for something more thoughtful than a standard rental arrangement. With donated or affordable space, committed donors, business sponsors, and community partnerships, we believe we can build a model where support carries the costs instead of a charge at the door.

Often we forget the magic of imagination.A dependable home could help us bring that back into many people’s lives.

What a home base could make possible

Imagine what could grow from a place we can return to.

Our pop-up events show what we can create for a day or a weekend. A guildhall could give us the consistency to turn those moments into an ongoing part of community life.

More chances to find your people

Regular games and storytelling gatherings where new faces can become familiar ones, with room for beginners as well as longtime players.

More room to make something together

Space for art, cosplay, creative workshops, improv, and collaborative projects, shaped by the interests and talents of our community.

More ways to welcome someone in

Opportunities for adults, teens, and families to explore their creativity through appropriately planned activities, without a fee for regular gatherings standing in the way.

More energy for the people

Less time searching for venues, transporting supplies, and rebuilding our setup, leaving more volunteer energy for the experiences people come to enjoy.

A different way to think about a home

“Who in this valley has space that isn’t being fully used, and what could we build together inside it?

The right fit may not be a traditional one

Maybe the right space is already here.

An underused community room, a vacant commercial suite, or a building waiting for its next purpose could become something meaningful in the right partnership. We welcome conversations with property owners, churches, developers, businesses, and other organizations that see the possibility.

1,500–3,000+ square feet

We are looking for something in the Grand Junction area.

  • Donated space
  • Deeply discounted rent
  • Shared-use partnerships
  • Long-term temporary space

We’re looking for room to host regular Dungeons and Dragons events, a place where creative activities can flourish, and store our supplies, with practical access and sustainable ongoing costs. We’re also open to lease or purchase opportunities when the terms make sense, because finding the right home matters more than following one particular path.

Have a space or an introduction to share?
A welcoming world, built one event at a time.A home base could let more of that effort stay in place.

“You think we were immersive at the 2026 Fantasy Fair, wait until we have a permanent home.”

This is where the right people make the difference

The right introduction could open the right door.

We believe this guildhall is achievable, and that the right combination of space, support, and shared purpose can be found here in our valley. Whether you have a property, a connection, a useful skill, or the ability to give, you could help bring this next chapter within reach.

Know of a possible home?

You do not need to have every detail figured out before reaching out. Tell us about a space, connect us with someone who owns one, or help us start a conversation that might otherwise never happen.

Tell us about a space

See yourself in this vision?

We would love to meet donors, business sponsors, and community partners who want to help make a lasting home possible. Financial support, practical expertise, and thoughtful introductions could all move this project forward.

Let’s talk about partnering
